Indira Leneman a.k.a. Laroye

Her name is Indira Leneman a.k.a. Laroye Aña. She is a Cuban choreographer, dance instructor, professional dancer, model & actress. She has worked with several Cuban and American dance and theater companies and has performed on TV shows such as Verano en TV, Premios Lucas 2003 – 2004, 23 Y M, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Late Late Show with James Corden . She has worked with world-renowned choreographers such as Chloe Arnold, Jesus Aponte, Lyrik Cruz, Vera Passos, Tony Menedez, and Tomas Morales. She has performed in several stages such as Skirball Cultural Center, Grand Performance, The Ford Theater, Hollywood Bowl, Conga Room, Disneyland Adventure Park, and others. Laroye has taught in international festivals, dance studios & academies, colleges, and universities like UCLA, USC, CSUSB, Mount Saint Mary’s University, and CSU Fullerton.

She has taught and performed in many
cities and countries, such as Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Norway, & others. As a
choreographer, she won a dance residency at the Yard in Martha’s
Vineyard, Massachusetts along with Ephrat Asherie Dance Company . In
2021 she founded Ocandeniye Dance Company, for which she has
created an extensive repertoire. In addition, she has been retained
as choreographer, and teaching consultant, for the non-profit
organization Conga Kids , who commissioned an educational show
called, “Discover the Dispora” , for which she was the creator. The
program, which showcases Cuban dance and music culture, is presented
in school assemblies all across LA and Orange County.
