The Event

Join the Casineros Timba Fest family where dance enthusiasts of all levels celebrate Hispanic & Latino culture through featured performances, workshops, and finally a dance challenge. In addition, part of the revenues will be donated to a foundation or non-profit organization to help them continue their mission of informing, educating or supporting the community.

Boot Camps

Bootcamps and dance challenges will be offered in 2 categories: Casino Couples, and Timbatón. Each boot camp session will be lead by a mentor coach, who will provide feedback and help participants prepare to showcase their skills in a dance challenge during the night show. At the dance challenge, mentor coaches go head-to-head as participants in their groups display the work they have done. Dancers will be recognized for their effort and creativity by a set of qualified judges using set criteria in an impartial and objective manner.

Workshops

We are excited to offer the most complete variety of workshops, covering the fundamentals of Cuban-style salsa . Our unique program has been thoughtfully designed to be fun and enjoyable, while teaching new skills & techniques. Our line up of talented international instructors have been carefully selected based on their knowledge, experience and tenure to provide the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. Son Cubano

Style of Afro-Cuban music. Come move to the sounds of percussions, African rhythms and montunos.



Rumba

Come learn some sexy hip motions, turns, breaks and rolls in this workshop focused on rumba. Danced in spot with slow- quick-quick timing, rumba is the simplest rhythm dance, and the foundation from which other rhythm dances evolved.

Cha Cha Cha

Fun, fast, and flirtatious. Cha-Cha-Cha replaces the “slow” in Rumba with a fast “side-together-side” spot dance, characterized with dramatic body movements & a lot of energy!

Mambo

Flirty and sensual, mambo is characterized by strong Cuban motion, sharp quick steps, staccato movement with the dancer breaking count on 2.

Rueda de Casino (Basic)

Enjoy this classic Cuban group – style dancing! You’ll be paired with a partner and participate in circle dancer, learn basic steps, swap partners. Leads and followers may be of any gender.

Rueda de Casino (Advanced)

Calling all advanced salsa casino dancers! This workshop is for experts. Think you have what it takes? Come show us!

Casino Couples (Intermediate)

You passed the basics and want to keep learning? Come to this paired workshop to learn some new skills and get ready to shine at your next party!

Freestyle Footwork

Expand your skills & feel confident when dancing freestyle! Learn styling & techniques to make your social dancing more playful and spontaneous.

Ladies Lead

No man? No problem! This workshop will show ladies how to lead in paired salsa dancing. No more standing by the bar waiting for a man to ask you to dance.

Afro-Venezuelan

Love drums? Love the Afro Culture? This workshop will blow your mind. Join us for this spectacular experience

Meet the Host

Williams F. Martínez – AKA W-Latino – is the founder, producer and host of the Casineros Timba Fest, the one and only Salsa Casino (Cuban-style salsa) Social Challenge of Georgia. His vision was to create a space to bring together people to learn, connect and have fun, while supporting and collaborating with the Hispanic and Latino community. He also hosts the first Salsa Casino brunch in town at the famous restaurant Eclipse Di Luna every Sunday noon.

Special Guest

Mario “Mambo” Díaz is a dance instructor, choreographer, performer, personal coach, and percussionist. He began his career at young age, while attending the Witt Clinton High School in New York City.
Throughout his career, he has performed around the world in many musical videos, TV shows, and movies. He also has choreographed for artist like Tito Puente, Oscar D’Leon, José Alberto “El Canario”, Víctor Manuel y La India.
Mario feels that through music and dance, one can express their feelings without inhibitions and free themselves from the everyday stresses of life.
